Buckinghamshire’s Local Plan

Dear resident
Buckinghamshire’s Local Plan
I know much has been discussed in local communities about new development, particularly in relation to the Buckinghamshire Local Plan. Our task is to put forward a sound and compliant Local Plan for Buckinghamshire to government.
It’s a legally required document which will set out where new development and essential infrastructure should be located and work is well underway.
Government has instructed Buckinghamshire to plan for 95,500 new homes – a 43% increase on the previous target. It is therefore essential that our Local Plan identifies the various locations to sustain this level of housebuilding. Failure to do so would expose the county to speculative development or the imposition of control of the plan from Westminster, both of which represent huge risk to Buckinghamshire.
